Probably early April for the next poll and one before ASA States. Congratulations to Watley and OC Mizuno this past weekend. Teams that are serious about ASA Nationals will attend St. Paddy's and Fresno Force and MDC. Those are very important tournaments to get your team ready for that road to Nationals. I see Watley and Strike Force 2000 on that path so far. Right now I think Watley is the #1 team but it ain't over 'til its over!

so you have to be "serious" to spend $1000 to go and play the same teams you have been playing all season long to win an ASA tournament? All 10u teams that were at that tournament have played eachother several times in TCS tournaments and friendlies...Watley is a great team, but their are four teams that are in the mix..CA00, SF00, SoCal Rage00, and Watley..Everyone in the division knows who the teams to beat are. ;)

I understand what SoCaldude is saying because in Nationals you aren't just playing So. Cal teams and having experience playing in this type of tournament enviroment you won't get playing at TC (not all top teams in Cali or other states play TC) & definitely a friendly should not be considered like a tourney. To each his own though on how teams choose to prepare for Nationals.

I would actually say there are about 6-7 teams in the mix. and I also agree with m3speedy- playing the same team over and over again here local doesn't help as much as going and playing teams from northern california and arizonia. The level of play this weekend was alot better then the local tournaments with the same 3-4 teams. This weekend there was a few good teams that could compete. All American and Liberty did very well from other areas. Thunder also looked good as did OC Mizuno which are local teams. So to say there are only 4 teams in the running and naming rage as 1 is not what all the other coaches are thinking. i would say top 6 until you win a tournament with the better teams in it.

But again this year is crazy with teams winning and losing to each other at any time. The next big test from the looks is Firecrackers Tournament. Not so sure about Fresno not as many top teams in that one as the firecrackers tournament. Either way what matters is States so we will really see who steps up and who doesnt. Will be fun run to Nationals

Historically speaking, teams coming in 1st-2nd at St. Paddy's and Fresno Force typically come in 1st-2nd at ASA states and teams that come in 1st at ASA States often win ASA Nationals. Teams that go to St Paddy's/Fresno often do not even enter 1 TCS tournament the entire season. Just saying...

I'm not advocating everyone do Fresno/MDC and/or you're not a good/great team if you do TCS. But the coaches who make a deliberate plan to attend and win ASA Nationals and know what they are doing focus on Paddy's / Fresno Force / ASA States.

Looking forward to seeing more of 10U shake out this season !!!

The only so called "top teams" that haven't played in a TCS tournament this year is Watley..All the others have played...The only ASA tournament that "matters" is States and Nationals..All the rest are tune-ups! :D

Think Allen Iverson and substitute the word "PRACTICE" for the word "10U"

Reporter: "Could you clear about your 10U’ing habits since we can't see you 10U?"
Iverson: "If Coach tells you that I missed 10U, then that's that. I may have missed one 10U this year but if somebody says he missed one 10U of all the 10Us this year, then that's enough to get a whole lot started. I told Coach Brown that you don't have to give the people of Philadelphia a reason to think about trading me or anything like that. If you trade somebody, you trade them to make the team better...simple as that. I'm cool with that. I'm all about that. The people in Philadelphia deserve to have a winner. It's simple as that. It goes further than that.
Reporter: "So you and coach Brown got caught up on Saturday about 10U?"
Iverson: "If I can't 10U, I can't 10U. It is as simple as that. It ain't about that at all. It's easy to sum it up if you're just talking about 10U. We're sitting here, and I'm supposed to be the franchise player, and we're talking about 10U. I mean listen, we're sitting here talking about 10U, not a game, not a game, not a game, but we're talking about 10U. Not the game that I go out there and die for and play every game last it's my last but we're talking about 10U man. How silly is that?
Now I know that I'm supposed to lead by example and all that but I'm not shoving that aside like it don't mean anything. I know it's important, I honestly do but we're talking about 10U. We're talking about 10U man. (laughter from the media crowd) We're talking about 10U. We're talking about 10U. We're not talking about the game. We're talking about 10U. When you come to the arena, and you see me play, you've seen me play right, you've seen me give everything I've got, but we're talking about 10U right now. (more laughter)
Reporter: "But it's an issue that your coach continues to raise?"
Iverson: "Hey I hear you, it's funny to me to, hey it's strange to me too but we're talking about 10U man, we're not even talking about the game, when it actually matters, we're talking about 10U."
Reporter: "Is it possible that if you 10Ud, not you but you would make your teammates better?"
Iverson: "How in the hell can I make my teammates better by 10U’ing?
Reporter: "So they can be used to playing with you."
Iverson: "They should be used to playing with me. Those are my teammates. So my game is going to deteriorate because I'm not 10U’ing with my teammates? Is my game is going to get worse? I'm asking you, is my game going to get worse? So what about my game? Is my game going to get better because other players are hurt on my team, I mean, do that hurt me? Do you think that hurts me? I'm being honest, people are hurt on my team but do that hurt me? Does that hurt me when I go out there and play 48 minutes, does that hurt me as a player? Does that hurt me if this person is hurt or that person is hurt? Do it hurt me?
Reporter: "You don't need it as much as they do."
Iverson: "What do you mean by I don't need it as much?"
Reporter: "Because you're the superstar"
Iverson: "What do you mean I'm the superstar?"
Reporter: "Because you're better than they are. One of the best in the NBA."
Iverson: "So why are we talking about trade talk or there's a problem with me? No, I'm not obviously I'm not. You're contradicting yourself man. If I'm the superstar, then why is all this happening?" Why does my daughter have to deal with this? Why? I'm the franchise player. Why am I supposed to be having this meeting? Why am I talking to y'all about this?
Reporter: "You said that you and coach are on the same page but it does not sound like it?"
Iverson: "We are on the same page. We are. I'm upset because of one reason...we are in here. I lost my best friend, I lost this year (in the playoffs), I feel that everything is going downhill for me as far as my life.
I don't want to deal with this man, I don't want to go through this [expletive] man. This is where I want to be. I love this place, I love my teammates, I don't have any problems with Coach Brown at all. Coach Brown has problems with me as far as lifting...I do not know about this thing with 10U because I have not been missing any 10Us.
I think, that I shall try to do the utmost to be new today
