UPDATED! 12u Top Team Ranking – Pre ASA Nationals Poll!

by Luv_SC » Mon Apr 20, 2009 9:00 am

Power surge looked good in the two games vs Crackers and Angels. I didnt see the first game when they lost to the Wildcats but they put the ball in play alot in the two games I watched and made the teams make plays. Both the Angels and Crackers looked like bad new bears at times with defensive meltdowns. Not too many earned runs I believe but lots of contact and Power Surge looked strong. I saw Wildcats they looked okay but refused to play their third game due to injuries, which we all have plenty of. Come on its a friendly, you sign up play your games! Not cool to back out when your there. I didnt see any other suprises.

Agreed! If you sign up to play three games, you should play all three games! Everyone has injuries at this time of the year!

I was surprised that SD Legacy first agreed to fill in for the Wildcats and then surprised again to see a top PowerSurge pitcher and catcher step onto the field to help them out. Not saying it was a bad thing, just a surprise lol... At least PowerSurge tried their best to give the Angels somewhat of a 3rd game, having to scramble at the last minute..

Yes Kudos to psurge and legacy, not at all their fault. I just think it was not sportsman like at all on the part of the wildcats. Not taking into consideration at all they signed up for three games and just making an impromptu decision like oh by the way we arent playing our last game. I have seen teams play with 8 girls not ideal but happens. Mental note for future, teams you sign up for a friendly show up and play all your games its not fair to team hosting or teams your playing against. I dont care if you have to borrow little sissy from 8u to stand in left field.

Maybe a little off topic, but does anybody know who "Team 6" in Pool A of the Fresno Force Classic? I am trying to fill out my bracket (bored at work, lol)and would like to know who this team is.

TBA-I think they are trying to get someone off the waitlist. Kinda cool you already know who you play no suprises, Just hope they dont change whole schedules around.

Legacy also had injuries so they asked PS to borrow a couple of players.

Thanks Legacy and Power Surge it at least made the 2 1/2 hour drive a little better to play 2.5 games. As mentioned earlier we appreciate you stepping up and filling in with no notice.

to defend the Wildcats- who knew one pitcher would be put in a cast after being hit by a pitch and the second to be injured the day before. Get the facts. In case you aren't aware...it's next to impossible to pick up players the night before who are not already committed to a team. since the only players left are Rec Ball- they would be ineligible for their All Star league- so while it was unfortunate....it was not deliberate.
No one shows up to a friendly with 1 pitcher and 4 games and still plays and I am pretty sure you would not let your DD pitch 4 games with no rest. :!:
