So Cal top 96's

by Luv_SC » Mon Apr 07, 2008 2:28 pm

okay lets draw the line only 96 teams so take off the Rebels and whomever has any 95 that plays or practices on their team so I guess updated list would be: These are teams with girls born only in 96 playing on them.
Angels
Firecrackers
Nemesis
Power Surge

Thats all I know of. Feel free to add.

Let me guess. Short stop and catcher? Pitcher and 3rd base? 3 and 4 hitter????

I would have no problem labeling a team a 96 if the 2 95's were the 2 in the dugout at championship game time...

Honestly I am not on the Rebels but know the girl that is a 95 is some out field and I did see her hit well though but not a pitcher or cathcer or infielder those are all 96's. They still aren't an all 96 team though.

Why don't we say a 96 team does not have to move up next year. So if a team has 1 or 2 95 the chance is they are not moving up to 14u next year.

Not sure why a 95 player wants to play with a whole team of 96, inless it is due to sister's and having them play on the same team for a year. I am sure this makes it much easier for the parnets for a season.

I agree with you on the parent thing.... You are right about 95's playing with 96's some just cant make the cut on those better teams, so they have to dip down and play with the younger girls. In my perspective (dont waste your daughters time with the younger girls, play at your age group or higher take your punches and roll with them.).. Just my opinion...

I have no idea where they play or bat in the lineup. They would have to be wildly exceptional athletes to try and carry a team. Bottom line there is no asterisk after a team name in the final standings to specify what birth year the majority of the players were.
Wonder why you care so much???

Frankly, I don't care at all. But if a team has 95's in key positions, it's not fair to compare. Let's compare apples to apples. That's all. No one said anything about the 95's carrying the team. The 96 girls on Jynx are exceptional. But if their catcher and pitcher are 95's with guns for arms, not fair to compare to a 96 pitcher and catcher. That one year is huge in terms of growth and physical maturity. That is all I'm saying.

I got to see Team Smith and Power Surge 96 a couple of weeks ago, both teams very impressive. We are a 95 so we got to their #1 pitchers in a friendly. Power Surge pitching is stronger. 8-)
