What I dont understand is if there is any chance that a DNA test can prove or disprove someone's guilt, why not do it. Using an 'eye witness' to convict someone is very scary and I know it happens all the time. I was 5 feet from a gunman in a robbery and could not identify the guy - I could however identify the gun he was pointing at me, that is all I saw.

A sex offender suspected in the disappearance of Chelsea King was arrested Sunday in connection with her disappearance. He served only five years in prison for molesting a girl a decade ago after prosecutors rejected a psychiatrist's advice to seek a stiffer punishment, court documents state.

Prosecutors said in 2000 that John Albert Gardner III's lack of significant prior criminal record justified less than the maximum sentence for molesting a 13-year-old girl.

Got this off San Diego newspaper - apparently they found Chelsea King's body. I hope those involved with letting the pos out early understand that they are directly responsible for this girl's death.

This makes me sick to think what her family is going through.

I hope that mother fu*ker gets it from every one of those inmates wherever he ends up!!! He's got a target on his back and I hope he suffers a slow, miserable, painful death!!!!!

Everything in life is a choice -they do have a choice - the choice could be construct the defense so that the POS is sent to prison for life -the choice could be resign - but there is a choice.

Without a robust adversarial legal system we would all be at the mercy of anyone in power who wanted to mess with us. The government has to be able to prove its case against a competent defense. If it can't, then it has no business putting anyone in jail.

That said, you guys are clearly rank amateurs in the revenge business. Nary a mention of blowtorches or dental drills. And what's with this quick death nonsense?

I am just at a loss for how people like these remain on the loose to continue harming people. He raped a 13-year-old girl. 13. She is undoubtedly scarred for life. In essence, he murdered the person that she was supposed to become...and the persons that all of her loved ones were supposed to become. Why hasn't anyone repaid him the favor yet? Why was he able to do it again?
