by SoCalSFV » Mon Feb 15, 2010 7:01 pm

Bombers are playing the Firecrackers and Jynx this weekend. This past weekend we stayed local and played in Simi Valley against FSA (Future Stars of America) and So Cal Bulldogs (A lot of old Valley Tribe players).

Classy, is holding a girl at third when the ball in coming in from the outfield when your up by 15, Classy is not stealing second when you up by 20, classy is holding a girl at third on a pass ball when you up by 15 - seen the game and it was some great sportsmanship (NOT) from a team trying to show all others they are a top team. Go get them Eliminators, and Karma will be around the corner.

CLASSY would have been to pull the girls off the bags before the pitch for 1,2,3, outs after you were up by 10 runs. Sub in weak batters, pitch #4, STOP STEALING, and jus keep the run differential to 10 so you have nothing to worry about. It wasn't even bracket play. TCS pool play is only one hour 15 or 20 so you could have done that for 2 innings and done the right thing. Running up 24-0 in pool play ??? That is beyond classless and totally ghetto and I never heard of such a thing. These eliminators coaches givbe rec ball coaches a bad name !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Coming to a team near you...

I also saw the game. I did see the base coach put up stop signs after the scoring had gotten significant. I didn't see any bunts or straight steals, but I did see runners advance, as they should, when the base was given to them. I also saw the players performing to the best of their ability, no matter what occured or what the situation was which is what I thought good sportsmanship was, maybe I'm wrong..
I also observed the SF mgr in a seemingly friendly conversation with the CE mgr after the game & I overheard the SF guy asking the CE guy for advice. That's not something I would expect from a mgr if such an egregious act of "unclassines" (sic) had just been meted out on his team.
This might be a "classy" er... I mean, classic example of different people having different perspectives.
Please educate me; Is making snide and offensive remarks about a little girls team and judging their intentions as deceitful on a community message board an example of "classy" behavior or " great sportsmanship?

Wonder what team your with?.......Douche
