I made a mistake and did not include a team I promised to be included which caused the BYE in 14U, I have changed it as it was my error and the revised bracket is or will be posted soon.

I especially apologize to the Choppers who thought they played at 115 and now play at 945 in the "BRACKET OF DEATH" but their coach was really good about it and that was nice of him.

I presume then that the link above (which is still active even as I type this) was just meant as some sort of clever "insider's" joke being played by the PGF God's on the rest of us mere mortals?

Probably meant as a companion "joke" to go along with the last minute change of venues/cities from the California coast to the California desert?

Those PGF Gods are SO dang hilarious!!!!!!....and all these laughs for only $550 per team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can I also presume that the same PGF Gods will be waiting for us in Hemet with refund checks to compensate us for the lack of pool games, change of venues, and shortened tournament?

On the heels of the Arizona PGF Qualifier debacle/disaster it seems like PGF is TRYING to screw up their plan to dethrone the equally inept (or possibly less inept?) ASA Gods from softball's Mount Olympus.

I hope the PGF Gods remember the old saying "You only get one chance to make the WORST impression!".......

In fairness to the "PGF Gods", did you contact them with your concerns and give them a chance to respond directly to you before you came on here with your complaints?

If not then your credibility takes a hit in my eyes.

And by the way, speaking of "credibility", I would expect that a truly "credible" organization would PROACTIVELY contact each and every team in a timely manner and explain the situation IN ADVANCE...why should the TEAMS have to beg and plead for information?....and then have no recourse when they do so but to hope and pray that the Gods might deign to respond?

I am no God, PGF or otherwise. If what you say is true then you certainly have a legitimate gripe. Unfortunately, it's not a new one. Hopefully this can be cleared up.

I/We are hardly Gods and make no pretense to be such.

Ask the So Cal teams if they would prefer to play on Friday and play pool games that serve to tire their pitchers and players before playing in a two day championship tournament and the answer will be a resounding NO. We allow other areas to have pool games as their tournaments are usually longer and many teams come from other states and want more games.

This tournament was always listed as Hemet or Anaheim or Fountain Valley and when Fountain Valley was unavailable, Hemet was the only site with enough fields to handle 18HS, we avoided Friday games and as far as shortening the tournament, you will find that once a berth is secured, no one much cares to go on.

Right or wrong everything we do in scheduling these tournaments is based on the longtime experience of playing in qualifying type tournaments and we are confident the format is what the majority prefer. If you would like to go to Lancaster for three days you have that option.
If you have a means to secure 8 or more fields at one site in OC, please speak up we will use them.

The button for pool games on the website is simply a means for the webmaster to use the same code for all. The listing on the So Cal Qualifier link ALWAYS said double-elimination format, as it was last year and will be in the future.


We are willing to admit our mistakes and to correct them but nothing mentioned here was a mistake.

Gary ,remember when there was no pool play at ASA nationals .When they added pool play everyone complained.You will never make them all happy.

I installed a contact system on Premier Girls Fastpitch. I do not remember seeing a message from anyone with this concern. If you do have a concern. Please use the contact us at our website. My apologizes for the delay in posting, but the gods as you say, saw fit to melt my power source. Not bad over all as we funneled the CO and the So Cal tourneys through one guy, me!

Seriously though, if you have a concern, emails do not sit on mt desktop, I will make sure that if I can not handle it, I will properly route it and make sure you have an answer.
