Here is a recap of how PGF attending teams (including a couple non-So Cal teams) did in TCWS, with their elimination bracket record only listed:

1st Corona Angels - Lockman (7-0)
2nd Firecrackers - Sota (9-2) (lost to AZ Storm and CA-Lockman)
3rd Firecrackers 98 - Brashear (5-2) (lost to CA-Lockman and Sota)
5th Powersurge 97 (4-2) (lost to FC98 and VC Venom)
9th Cal Lite (3-2) (lost to PS 97 and Sota)
17th Firecrackers - Kay (2-2) (lost to CA-Lockman and Cal Cruisers)
17th Tri-County Smash (2-2) (lost to Cal Lite and Pure Fastpitch)
25th Cal Thunder (2-2) (lost to Choppers-Vannoy and Am. Pastime 98)
33rd OC Elite - Chris (1-2) (lost to Choppers-Black and USA Athletics-Camez)
33rd Desert Wolves 97 - Firestone (1-2) (lost to RBI Softball and CC Dirt Dogs 98)

Some of these teams did well, as expected, while others may need to regroup a bit before PGF.

Wow 14u was hard this year ... expected a fall off because of the number of teams attending back to back National tournaments.... Not sure why the poll lines up better with the TCS World Series results then PGF Nationals!

Oh well everyone has an off year .......... Just glad my 16U poll was dead on (even with the bracket of death) and 12U was solid with one of my A teams winning PGF and another A team winning ASA Nationals.

At PGF the bracket draw is 60% of the fight ...... there is always a bracket of death at PGF and it takes more then talent to escape out of it.
