MY bad...post sounded a bit like a daddy post.

I was there too. They played with alot of heart and they have loud parents too! They got up on CA-Lockman and held on strong.

this is what i have seen over the years.
this is just my opinion, and not meant to offend anyone or any team:

the newer the team, the louder the parents. Many teams come out of all stars at 10's or 12's. they are excited, and when they compete, they show their excitement.
They are sometimes so hungry to win or compete, that they get pretty worked up, sometimes in a positive way, but many times in a negative way, especially to umps or the "top" teams.

after a couple of years, the successful teams get used to competing, and aren't as rabid or loud.
by 14's, on most teams that have been around, more and more of the parents are sitting quietly in their chairs or bleachers.
sometimes the dads are standing shoulder to shoulder in the outfield, looking like the opening scene of "king of the hill". They might be 2nd guessing the coach, but doing so quietly amongst themselves.
by 16's, on the top teams, it's a picnic like atmosphere, no more screaming, chanting , or yelling...

Good point SM...that goes with ALL 12U teams in the Fall. You never know how many 96s are playing "down" in the fall on any given team--hold on Breakers, I am not speaking to your team (looks like you played great on Sunday). It is great to watch and speculate how good teams are, but it isn't until the spring when it counts.

16's is so quite compared to other divisions.....It's like a game of Chess!
Must be because of the amount of Showcases, etc. where a lot games don't count as far as scores, etc......Different experience!

In reality, I have nothing against the Breakers or any other team for that matter that uses 96 players in the fall, it is not against the rules, right? Just commenting on what I heard...
