Always the brides maid and never the bride-14U AA'sToys4Tots

by TheCloser » Tue Dec 06, 2011 11:40 am

Girls have one ring and 3 top 5 finishes at ASA Nationals in 3 years under the man so I'm cool. More importantly, they'll be prepped to play at the next level.

This clown has been bagging on Victory all year and obviously has an axe to grind with them for some reason. Does anybody find it odd that he has not said a word, however, about the mis-steps in 3 tournaments this fall by the 12u National Champions? Regardless, they are both very good teams and EVERYONE knows it.

Just when I thought Stache had this team ready to break the two year string of no championships in any tournament, they continue the Victory 12U tradition of coming up short. I know, I know! Campbell only plays for national championships and I've heard how much they despise playing in the low level TCS, USSSA, and AFA tournaments. But maybe thats just what this team needs to get the monkey off the back. I think even my good buddy, glasshalfempty (R.I.P. from the bucket) would agree a boost of championship flavor is needed to get back the 10U swagger mighty team flawless once owned.

Come on glass, talk with your team and convince them to enter an all level tournament just to get the championship ball rolling. The rumor on the streets is that you are now known as the official team underachieve that rents the stc. You don't want to be bitten by your own bug.

Victory was done in by coach "I could'nt even beat the 99 team underachieve @ stc" at states. Then shut out and out coached by "Mr. Chino Hills all star rec ball coach" at nationals. Now was put out of it's 2011 fall ball misery by "PQ's finest and San Diego's coach of the fall ball season" at the AA's toys for tots tournament. I even heard certain parents were doing the rain dance when things started looking bad in the championship. At this point they would settle for co-champions. Hell, last year they were one of the last teams on the field when the rain came down. That should count for something. Right?

Don't get me wrong, I'm rooting for you guys to come through sometime in 2012 or 2013. YOU CAN DO IT! It's your time, I can feel it. I just know it must suck to always be the brides maid and never the bride ;)

Sensitive Squirrel,

No one is talking about 11 year old girls, they are 14. Every girl on that team is a stud and will get to the next level because they work hard for it. Now they need to go and work harder at the next tournament play in.

This is a bigboy and girl website. I hope I didn't offend any of the girls reading this thread. If I did, shame on your parents!

Now some word from the wise glasshalfempty " Keep in mind, Heybucket is no different than the discussions most parents are having in the stands and at practice. If your sensibilities are offended, then maybe you should avoid this section."

You see closer, lucky, and glass all have thick skin and a sense of humor. Just no championships in a couple of years. (even the Angels won 1 ring)

Oh yea! wifflebat,

Thats not nice! How did you know? I can't believe she told you.

Sincerly,

Asshat the clown.

No, they're 13 we're all 98's.

What's up with your boys at FC98? Not much talk by the parents lately other then calling Sota to see if they can come play with him.

DenseHat,

You're missing the point on too many levels for me to bother taking the time to help you with the education/character your parent(s) obviously failed to provide you with. Congrats on your kid's team winning 12U/14U tournaments. Those trophies must feel quite validating though I wouldn't know. I don't recall my kid's team winning a single tournament since rec ball. And Yes, I am embarrassed and ashamed of her absence of important TB accomplishments.

I chuckle at the suggestion that Victory is not an elite, excellent team because they lost the 12U National Championship to FC98, who allowed exactly 1 run on their path to the Title (let's not forget that the final game in the winner's bracket was 0-0 entering the 9th!). The fact that Victory also lost the Toys for Tots title game to Aztecs also means nothing. Victory beat an outstanding BB97-Ybarra team in the semi's, batting against speed on the mound, and then faced Aztecs, a good team, with a pitcher that barely threw 50 mph, with a lot of movement. That tends to throw the timing of even the best hitters off, which is exactly what happened, in a hard fought 4-3 game. There are perhaps a little more than a handful of truly elite organizations in travel ball and most of us know who they are. Victory is certainly one of them. Good job Coach Campbell. Keep up the good work!

Scout team, I am quoting you, you said (There are perhaps a little more than a handful of truly elite organizations in travel ball). So, in your honest opinion who do you think the others are?
