Congratulations indeed!! This was arguably the deepest and toughest TCS Tournament field ever. Though no real surprises. The top organizations went the furthest, but not without some stressful moments I'm sure. As expected, Triple Crown put on another well run tournament. Here's to next time...

The TPS 14u Tourney in Cathedral City last Spring was substantially deeper than this one, with PS96, Arizona Stealth and a slew of other very talented 14 teams.

Congrats to Aztecs for winning it all.

Overall a fairly competitive tournament. Seemed like more '97 teams. My only harangue was the quality of the umpiring. Either really young or really old and few very sharp (you know...when you ask them a questions and a glazed look comes over their face  !).

Congrats to the Aztecs...a very classy and well run team.

Well, I did say arguably. According to Travis Cotsenmoyer, the tournament director, he claimed the depth and "talent" of this tournament's field to one of the best ever. The claim about the TCS in Cathedral City last Spring, with it's 20 total teams (compared to 34) and only a handful of the top organizations represented (only Firecrackers' not represented in this one) seems a stretch. IMO

Number of orgs represented has nothing to do with quality and talent. Monster Mash had quite a few new teams. Bigger field? Yes, but that isnt the same as measuring level of competition. Now if you are thinking in terms of parity, then factor out a few teams and Monster Mash wins hands down.

Not sure how you can call it a stretch if you weren't there. The two co champions would not have had any competition from this years field, and that is stated with no disrespect intended to the Aztecs or Angels.

Of course the coordinator is going to state the competition was better this year, Do the Math -
2009) 20 x last years rate =
2010) 34 x 485 =
Lot of good teams still out there not in attendance!
I think it was a good weekend for T.C. and I'm happy for him as he does put together a good show.
As far as the best competition - Spring teams (developed) , Fall teams (develolping)
And let alone BRACKEY has not ranked anybody yet to compare competition :)
