Brand new HS program in SD needs your help!

Hello Heybucketeers. My name is Scott and I am the Head Varsity softball Coach at Gompers Preparatory Academy in San Diego. We are a 1st year program in an impoverished part of southeast San Diego. Since we are a 1st year program and literally starting from scratch, we have very little equipment and most of it is sub-standard for HS play. At this stage we don't have enough "quality" gloves or bats to practice with but we are making do. I am hoping that some of you HB softball familys have enough old or forgotten equipment in your garages to donate to our program. What we really need are some quality gloves (infield, outfield, catchers mitt) and some quality bats. As far as the bats go, we can't compete against a school where the players are using $300 composite bats and our bats are $19.99 specials from Wal-Mart. As a former travel ball parent myself I'm confident that somewhere out there is a ton of forgotten or outgrown equipment that our softball program could certainly use and appreciate. Yeah, I got fooled by a second generic page... Looks like they have 2 domain names. The OP's website link should be .org instead of .com (like the email link) and it goes to gompersprep.org.
