TRYOUTS 12U & 14U

by a.n.t.farm » Tue Aug 20, 2013 3:36 pm

Looking at all the HeyB posts I see so many teams still looking for players in 12U & 14U
What is going on? So many tryouts , not many players showing....what is going on? Anyone? :?
When many work together for a goal... great things may be accomplished!!!

from what I hear, and going off my thoughts as well, more people are staying in recball these days, some people don't really want to or have the finances to travel all over, too many low level teams being formed so it waters down the entire community

and these cattle call tryouts are an absolute joke

just my 2 cents

Fall takes a number of girls away from softball for other sports such as soccer and volleyball. Some play multiple sports and some just take a longer break. Not sure about girls going back to rec in my area. Seems like most of the my DD's friends are still playing travel.

my thought is that every parent, thinks that they have to Rush out to the bigger named Try-Outs, and in the long run, regret the move they made, from leaving from where they were. and in the long run, many Teams are just so watered down.

Sounds like sour grapes to me, Junior. Those Big Name organizations as you call them have put a lot of time and effort into becoming what they are. Believe me, it does not happen overnight. Put your time in Junior and you will be on the other side of what you say. Good luck.

kind of agree with this. More and more parents wants to go to big name organizations...wondering if they realize that the big O are just picking up any team is willing to change the name so they can bring more $$$ in . Business I understand.

It's finally happened. There are more Firecracker teams than there are kids.
