Surf City Valentine's Rain Out Refund

by roccreator » Thu Feb 21, 2013 1:04 pm

Is anyone else dissapointed in the refund Surf City sent us???

A 2 day/ 4 game guarantee Tournament for $550 turns into a 1 day, 3 game Friendly.

Refund amount $100

$450 for 3 game Friendly??? $150/ game???

I was expecting a credit for our next tournament with them......

I understand they need to make money, but how about keeping say....$250...even $300 and giving us a $250 - $300 credit towards the next one???

Their rain out policy is clearly listed on their site. Make sure to read those before you sign up for a tournament during the rainy season.

This is their "Clearly Listed" Rain-Out Policy:

>If it is necessary to suspend a tournament, after you have played your first game, due to weather or some other unforeseen event, you will be credited for your games that you did not begin, minus $250.00. Your remaining credit will be refunded by check. The $250.00 amount may increase at the sole descretion of the tournament directors, depending upon incurred costs for that tournament.

I still think they should offer a better credit towards a "Future Event"....Don't need any $ back!
