As far as the best competition - Spring teams (developed) , Fall teams (develolping)

That sums it up pretty accurately. Those teams were prepping for states. Plus with last year's PS96, the FC team and AZ Stealth, you had a half dozen ace pitchers that could shut down anyone.

This last weekend did provide a glimpse into what should be a great 14u season with several teams that are all capable of winning tournaments. And that doesnt include some pretty good OCBB and FC teams that were not there.

Brenda Marsh in November should be epic.

SoCal Breakers had the pleasure of drawing Lockman's Corona Angels right out of the shoot. The TNL team I listed played up at 16u. If they drop to 14U for a tourney, they will be tough.

I will agree that most teams in the Fall are in the developmental stage. Having either switched organizations or having added/dropped players. Nevertheless, the top organizations still have the best players. That is why you find them in the later stages on Sunday's brackets. There were arguably 10-12 teams whom could have won this tournament if they had gotten "hot". That signals not only parity, but depth. That combination is why I stated what I did about this tournament. Having 3-4 "premier" teams a tournament does not make. Fighting your way through numerous teams that can beat you on any given day does. Period...
