Here are the new OCVarsity So Cal Softball Rankings:

OCVARSITY SOCAL SOFTBALL RANKINGS

(Records through Saturday's games)

1. Valencia (Valencia) 18-3-1

Last week: W Golden Valley, 12-1; W West Ranch, 3-2.

Comment: The Vikings keep rolling. Best offense in the state, nation, planet ... you get the picture.

2. Ayala (Chino Hills) 18-3

Last week: W Chino, 8-2; W Chino, 3-2.

Comment: If I have to win one game against anybody, I want Jessica Hall in the circle.

3. Mater Dei (Santa Ana) 19-1

Last week: W Rosary, 1-0; W JSerra, 9-1; W Saugus, 4-2; W Santiago (Corona), 4-0.

Comment: The Monarchs are the real deal.

4. Santiago (Corona) 19-1

Last week: W Centennial (Corona), 6-2; W Corona, 3-0; W Los Alamitos, 3-2; L Mater Dei, 0-4.

Comment: The Sharks got roughed up by Mater Dei, but they also beat Los Alamitos.

5. Norco (Norco) 14-6

Last week: Idle.

Comment: The Cougars are a force, a very young force, to be reckoned with.
