Redlined???

Rule question? Get it answered here.

My daughter played with a team that qualified for the 14U nationals next year. She has since left that team. Does this mean she will be redlined during this next season with her new team?

ASA does not have any qualifiers in the fall for the next years Nationals.

Spaz,

I think that a team that wins Western's is given a spot in the next years Nationals.
To each their own.

Speaking ASA

Do not know what you mean by "red lined" as that is the often the term used in ASA for when the commissioner signs off on a roster. They are to draw a "red line" below the last entry on the roster to basically close it.

A team which qualifies or is awarded a berth for a tournament the following season is defined as a team with more than four of the same members. This has absolutely no bearing on the others who choose to play elsewhere. FYI, if the rostered members of the qualified team break-up to the point that there are not more than four remaining on the same team, I believe the berth is awarded to the recorded manager of the team which qualified.
