If a batter swings at a pitch with 2 strikes & the ball hits her hands & deflects to the side & no catch from the catcher is that a foul tip dead ball or 3rd strike?

Which type of bat?
There are no bats bearing the ASA certification mark which come with hands affixed thereon.

Hands are not part of the bat, they are part of the person.

One of the biggest myths in softball and baseball is that hands are part of the bat.

All one has to do is look at your hands and you can see what they are a part of.
