Illegal pitch for taking signs behind the pitcher's plate?

If the umpire has signaled for the pitcher to go ahead, it cannot possibly be a quick pitch.

In addition to quick pitching, the hesitation rule also keeps pitchers from walking through the pitch from a step behind the mound. Walking through the pitch would allow the pitcher to gain a lot of momentum.
