To clarify previous posts:

Bryce is an umpire in the SoCal area. One who doesn't attend mechanic or rule clinics or adheres to any professional stature that all umpires should try to afford. His son is worse. Not that they are bad in judgement, just that they believe that the game is there simply for them to work it.

Jim G. Is the ASA SoCal Umpire in Chief. Any umpire South of Fresno should know that.

LA Coastline is about the best age-group officials association in the Lower Cal area. They do such a good job that I may have to join them so I can still umpire the local games in my area that they now assign.

You're right. My stuttering affects my readin as well as my speakin. Of course, everyone playing under ASA sanctions is under Phil G. And everyone umpiring under ASA sanctions is under Jim G.

They may not know it. But they are.

Sorry, correction. This went over my head. Yes, Phil G. is the proverbial GOD of ASA for California and he is the state commissioner. Jim G. is the state UIC. They however, do not work directly with associations such as LA/Coastline.
