Yes you should report it because next time the coach may just call a rise and only let the catcher in on his plan.

Umps have people that love them as well. They dont deserve to be put at risk by some jackass who shouldnt be on the field with teaching kids anything.

It sounds like your Coach is not teaching your child the correct things about sportsmanship.
The best thing to do is find a new coach, or find a new team.

In California, if proven, it is 4 years in prison PERIOD. Judge does not have any leeway.

That happens to be untrue, obviously if a minor, they are not going to prison - first offense for a battery they'd get probation and some anger management classes and MAYBE some home monitoring at most.. but even if an adult. Just FYI. I dont know where you get this stuff.

There's a video of it happening in high school baseall I think, it's on the web. In the video, the catcher ducks the ball and pitcher nails the ump in the mask. I believe the pitcher was tossed, nothing to catcher. I can't remember how it all went.

He didnt toss anyone.. which is his partners fault (assuming the PU didnt notice). I see my partner get hit like that and we are chatting so he knows exactly what just happened. And 2-3 are surely talking a walk.
