We played AZ Dynasty in Vegas. Very strong team. They took the lead on us but we fought back and won in the end.
I think can give our top 5 a run for their $$ and even pull out a victory. But what do I know I’m no BRACKY.

Thank you for saying that we appreciate the respect. We were really hoping to see you guys in Palm Springs this weekend. The game we had against your team was the most fun of the weekend. Win or lose we like the competion and thought your girls composed themselves very well while trailing and that is the sign of a great team. Since you won the tourney and are now ranked #1 it makes the loss much easier to swallow. Congrats on your new rank.

It looks like we have a good set of games this weekend. So cal breakers, Corona express, USA athletics. Very excited to be going and seeing some more great teams out of so cal.

4/10-4/11 BIG LEAGUE DREAMS - CATHEDRAL CITY

4/17-4/18 BRINGIN THE HEAT - CASA GRANDE

GOOD LUCK...

BLD - CATHEDRAL CITY RESULTS POSTED:

The Arizona teams fared better on Saturday pool play than on Sunday’s elimination games. :(

Saturday Pool Play:
AZ Dynasty 3-0
Suncats 98 2-1
AZ Wildfire 2-1
Lil Saints 1-0-2
Tucson Storm 0-3

Sunday Elimination Day:
AZ Dynasty 0-1
Suncats 98 0-1
AZ Wildfire 1-1
Lil Saints 1-1
Tucson Storm 0-1

Observations from the results posted:

AZ Dynasty had only one loss for the weekend, but unfortunately it came in first game on Sunday to Punishers 98.

Suncats 98 got knocked out in the first round on Sunday by the eventually champion (Punishers 97)

AZ Wildfire’s two loses came from two of the final four teams (TNL Gold and Breakers (Imoto)).

Lil Saints had only one loss for the weekend and it was a final four team (Team Anderson (Ed)).

Tucson Storm had a tough weekend.

When is the next big tournament for the Arizona 12U teams?

Sorry to have not represented AZ. very well this weekend. We had a few errors in that Sunday game that cost us. Then just didn't seem to be able to put together those string of hits we needed for the W. The Punisher 98 team played very tight defense and swung the bat with authority. They played well, but we gave it to them. We will work harder to represent at the next Cali event. Good points, the more we see those strong teams we will be able to pick up on their weakness too. We will be back stronger than ever. Good tourney, except for the price of concessions. :)

Your rankings are close but not really, The Scramblers and CG Heat are realistically #'s 2 and 3, or 3 ...4 (hard to say who is higher because it depends on who is hotter). The Aces should NOT be ranked higher than The Scramblers or even DT 97 .....the Aces would have to beat them to be ranked higher. (my opinion) Scramblers, CG Heat and DT 97 play up too but they use their own girls and not 14yr old pick players (ringers) like the Aces. When the Aces can beat anyone of those teams then they rightfully should be ranked higher.

really...first of all the Aces did beat DT and I do believe that ASA checks birth certs and would not allow any 14 yr olds play...right. Aces current roster has 10 players, (lost 2 to jr high softball) You can't be a competitive team with 9-10 players. I believe the so called "ringer" is not pick-up, but they called the Aces and wanted to play with them...a good team will always look at impact girls that will help a team get better. Scramblers are a very good team (should be ranked higher), great coaching and they make little to no mistakes. The aces' however, made more than enough for both teams. Its hard to beat a great team with 15-20 errors in 2 games. They beat the aces, and my hat is off to them...should make for great tournaments to come.

Using a pick-up player over your own will eventually spell disaster! "Lost 2 to junior high softball." Junior high ball? Really?
