I went back and looked if I had posted it last year, it was January of 2011 when she verballed but if I did, I cant find it. And someone else posted elsewhere when DD1 verballed so I was thinking this was being posted by someone other than parents. I didnt want DD2 to think I wasnt as proud when she verballed as when DD1 verballed. My little darlings have ways of making me pay when I forget these things. Last year we were still doing the 'little sweetheart is playing here " and "other sweetheart is playing there" and who is supposed to see who play where, games. If DW and I had been better planners we would have either a) had twins and packaged them as a deal, or b) spread the kids 5 years apart.

For those of you who might try plan A, keep in mind in you have two kids on the field at the same time AND if/when errors occur, instead of a 1/9 chance that 'your' kid did it, you now have a 2/9 chance that one of 'your' kids did it. Personal expererience on that one.

As for planning, I would go the - space 5 years apart route. I am a twin and having your genetic clone on the field with you (when he is a very sore loser) is not alwys a cup of tea. While I would make the occasional error, he -to this day - can't hit a curve ball!

DD2 is a very sore loser. She - i dont think - has ever blamed someone else other than a rare "its a frigging popup - catch the d ball" but she gets mad and she hates herself, her bat, her glove, her bag, our car, any trees nearby, certainly me if I am stupid enough to say "Good game,kid" - then its "wth is it a good game - I sucked - i couldnt (enter any/all skills here) ! (*&($*#(*&(*#(*&(*&($&(_)%_. I love the kid beyond words and the way I deal with this is I know it wont last - and I remember the story in the bible when Jesus and His buds are walking along, and He sees a fig tree, He hops over to get a quick snack - and the tree is empty. He is not happy and says something to the effect, "You will never have fruit again" and the tree shrivels up. So , if He has a temper - and she doesnt mortally wound anyone with her temper, its ok.

Congrats to you Donnie. You seem like a wise and thoughtful guy. I'm sure some of that has rubbed off onto both DD's.
