I have learned a lot over the years and have coached with and against some of the best coaches around, one thing I can tell you is you never stop learning.
I wanted to create a place for coaches and parents of softball players where we can collaborate on all things softball related.
Equipment reviews, tournaments, practice plans, instruction literally anything that will help us all get through the rigors of raising a player and coaching a team.
Think of it as a one stop shop for us to discuss all topics pertaining to the great game of fastpitch softball.

If you aren't trying to fix something and the tee isn't a regular part of a particular kid's maintenance program, well ok. I'd rather the team coaches didn't mess with a kid's swing anyway.

Too simple. It's not the same thing though it's as good as you can do without a real pitcher. Your closing speed is much lower than a real pitch from the right distance so the room for timing mistakes is MUCH greater at front toss speed than real pitching speeds from regular distance. if this doesn't make sense think of a pitch at 60 from regulation versus a pitching machine modified to throw 200mph but backed up far enough the elapsed time would be the same. I don't think you would think the first would get you ready to hit the second. You don't get practice tracking and timing the pitch at game speed when you are doing front toss. Could get the right speed from the right distance with a machine but you have to make other allowances for the lack of timing cues. Nothing wrong with front toss but don't think it's even close to being the same thing as real bp from a real pitcher. That's an issue with girl's fastpitch. For young boys there are a half dozen dads standing around who can throw decent bp. Not so much with girls. I wish I had learned to windmill pitch twenty years ago just so I could pitch bp.
Yeah hitting games are good for a lot of reasons.
"I started running my hitting practices like this in june of this last season and we saw a big jump in team average and my top hitters put up ridiculous numbers this summer and again this fall ( my team’s overall batting average this fall is .550 and we are 11U playing 12U teams )."
Good to hear. If you are doing that against the top teams in CA or TX you are the top team and I'm impressed. It all depends on the pitching you are facing. As to your hitting practices, other than no tee work they sound pretty standard for the top teams in the Houston area. I think that means you are on the right track.
