Any one else shocked Wash doesnt bunt in the 7th after getting the lead off on base in the 7th in a 1-0 game... the batter had struck out twice VS Thomas . and K's a third time . Any logical thoughs on not moving the runner ?

Shawna Wright played for me as an 8 year old. She was a pitcher in those days. A sweet kid with great parents. I was warming her up before a tournament game in San Clemente when a foul ball from an adjacent field clipped the bill of my cap as she released a pitch. I flinched and didn't get a glove on the ball which hit me in the forehead. A trip to the local hospital and five stitches later, I returned to the field. I don't know if she remembers that day, but I won't forget it......I was thinking about it as I watched her catching for UW.

Didn't UCLA try to bunt in their elim game against UAB and what happened to them 18 LOB. Go against the odds and the outcome could be greater.

My youngest has taken catching lessons from both Shawna and her mom. She is great with the girls and a class act.

The strategy was fine. The way Perez set her lineup was highly questionable, at best. It looked like she set her lineup in the order of who showed up to the ballpark first.
