I was warming her up before a tournament game in San Clemente when a foul ball from an adjacent field clipped the bill of my cap as she released a pitch. I flinched and didn't get a glove on the ball which hit me in the forehead. A trip to the local hospital and five stitches later, I returned to the field. I don't know if she remembers that day, but I won't forget it......I was thinking about it as I watched her catching for UW.
