Scoring - batter out of box ?

First time ever I had a slapper called for being out of the box ... She hit the ball fair and would have been thrown out ... But how is a batter out of the box scored ?

I would credit the catcher with the PO

Yeah, that was one thought I had ... Another was crediting the pitcher because in this case, this first year player on Varsity learning to slap was fooled by a killer change up and ran out of the front of the box prior to contact ...

It's definitely credited as a 2U (putout by the catcher unassisted). Even if it was caused by a really good pitch.
