So who does the rankings ? Saw a team ranked 69th that has beaten a handful of teams above them. Do you need to play in a T.C. event to get ranked ?

Rankings were based on the TC/National Points System (NPS) (see excerpt below). There are issues that TC admits and wants to fix:
- Points awarded at each event need to better represent the level of competition (e.g. IDT Longmont, Fireworks and Sparkler Mt. Elbert all had the same points awarded).
- Difficulty aggregating points by team across events. For example:
- - Lasers Gold results include Lasers Black finish at Premier, although it didn't affect their ranking.
- - Cal Cruisers Harmon results appear separately - 5th @ Premier and 9th @ IDT Longmont ranked them 45th and 69th respectively - and the combined total would have ranked them 16th).

An objective ranking based upon a cumulative point total recognizing results from the current year in two specific types of tournament only.

Points will be awarded for:

1.Top finish (highest points awarded) in a National Tournament one of the following: Premier, ASA Gold, TC/USA Nationals, ASA A, ASA Area, Triple Crown World Series, USSSA, NSA, and others on a weighted system by event and place.

2.Top finish in a Colorado 4th of July Tournament: Fireworks, Sparkler, Independence Day on a weighted system by event and place.

We are working on a fair point system at this time that will recognize the competitive level of teams in each selected tournament. We will award a graded point system based on finish and will award points for being in the event. We have selected these two groups of tournaments for points only based on their complete access and historical attendance allowing all teams.

Ranking are also based on you "strokea me I'll strokea you". Because if you look at the 18 rankings it is not very accurate either. First off the best team in the country is the So cal Athletics not Worth Firecrackers. TCS keeps putting Worth at # 1 even after losing to the Athletics two years in a row at the toughest tournament in the counrty, PGF nationals. Worth is going to get lock jaw keeping their team #1

Having the Gold Coast Hurricanes near the top is a joke, they were not very good last year but they are buddies so they stay at the top. Don't take the rankings seriously they are just for fun and they really mean nothing. Unless your team is real close to the top then you get paid to go play triple crown. TCS is offering money and hotel rooms and who knows what else to come play with them.

Not the truth, just your take.
The reason Worth is ranked higher is because they participated in the TCS Nationals and SoCal As did not. Also, the blended rankings award includes points based on collegiate participation.
As far as your last item sorry that your team is not getting "who knows what else". It may include whiskey and cigars among other things.
Sorry, Fight Club Rules.

Classic!
Ladies, if a man tells you he will fix it, he will fix it. There is no reason to remind him about it every six months.

Any 18U poll that doesn't have SCA ranked #1. Voids it's self of any creditability. Ranking the Fire Crackers ahead SCA makes the ranking system laughable at best. No matter what formula you say they used to arrive with this conclusion.

I guess that it can also be said that your response to The Truth's post is just "your take".
