Timing

DD is having problems with timing while hitting. She is usually way ahead of the pitch and has very little power when she connects.

Does anyone here have any suggestions to help with this?

Set up a tee, low and outside. Have her swing with her pulling hand only, trying to hit to the opposite field. Then put her in the cage to practice allowing that same pitch to get in deep before the swing. Note the line shots to the opposite gap when she does it correctly and the dismal two hoppers in the infield when she swings too early.

Actually I heard thats Sam's good side. The two of us together would make onion's cry.

It's also good to let them experiment with the position of the tee in their stance so they find their "sweet spot" where they can drive the outside pitch and learn what happens when they deviate from it.
