What's on your mind?

by lvtwft » Tue Mar 27, 2012 2:34 pm

Ive read this thread on here before and used the link some one provided. But now I have lost it...ugg. Anyone on the site know where I can get the list of email addresses for college coaches? Thank you, absent minded father.

The best source I have found is the Playing Softball at the College Level, by Cathy Aradi. Its for sale for about 30 bucks on nfca.org - new one comes out every year, well worth the money. Lots of useful information in it as well. Most all d1, d2, d3, juco, naia - pretty much most softball schools in the country.

the Ultimate College Softball site used to have a link on their front page, but I think it's getting worked on.

This link has all the D1 schools' softball websites.
https://nfca.org/index.php/component/nfca/?teams=1&tdiv=ncaa_1&nocat=1

Click the school, go to the roster or coaches link.
Most have the coach's email or a link for their email:
at the top of the page, under "fastpitch community", there are similar links to D2, D3, etc.
Good luck, and make sure you let your kid write the letters.

If your kid needs a template/example of a letter, PM me, and I can email you a sample email my kid gave me.

Just a word of caution - you should always verify each coach and contact info directly with the school's website prior to contacting, especially if you are using a public list. Nothing hurts DD's chances with a school like writing to a coach that left the program a few months ago.

Always verify email addresses on the school website. Any info over 6 months old may well be stale. Always include the assistant coaches (who are often the only people actually reading emails...)

enjoy in good health

Thanks for the info, I bought the app (from Spazsdad link) and it seems to only have head coaches email.. I will look at websites and include assistant coaches email address too.
Thanks for the info
