HS off season contact/ # player limits

I have tried to search the NFHS site to find info on this but have had no luck.
1. Does any one here know the rule for off season off site contact for high school coaches in Indiana?
2. The limitations on number of players from a single high school participating on a non HS affiliated team with a non high school coach in Indiana?

Thanks a ton!! As crazy as it sounds I think I have a better understanding of the rules...UGHH

HS Staff no off site instruction during school year, on site no more than 5 in voluntary workouts.
HS staff may coach up to 5 from same school on same team when school not in session.
Non HS staff may coach 5 off HS season when school in session or not.

Can't help your understanding in a very specific way, I am in Georgia, so that is the set of regulations I know best. I can only point you to the place where the answers are.

But, your initial issue is one many just don't understand. NFHS provides the generic game rules, but each state (and in some cases, even districts within that state) gets to create their own administrative rules. And, even worse, states can choose to adopt game rules that supercede the basic NFHS rules (example, South Carolina doesn't require appeals for missed bases not bases left early on a fly ball, umpires are SUPPOSED to make the call automatically; that process is so opposed by the umpires that most violations are then ignored, and the right of the wronged team to appeal has been removed!!).

But, you were looking for an administrative rule in the wrong place. My purpose, aside from helping you, is to let people know the place to look for issues not related to playing the game is in your own state's rules, regulations, or Bylaws.
