Super Bowl Sunday is for football and eating

Why are teams hosting friendlies and tryouts on Super Bowl Sunday?
Ok, so yeah, you can rush some stuff through in the morning, then rush around to get ready to watch the game, but why not just take that day off, relax and enjoy the national holiday?
It just smells like desperation to me.

Uhh, wasn't there a recent short-lived thread by a person advertising lace wigs? I hadn't heard of them before but it was the oddest post I think I've ever seen given this is a softball board with mostly male participants and the way it was written. When I googled lace wigs, Raquel's site came up first. Don't see many women in their 70s that look like her.
