The camera I would choose today is the Flip camera and the price is certainly right. Depending on her position, its quite easy to take the video. Editing the video, I dont know how or with what.

Keep it short!

We were told: no more than 5-8 mins max. Quick intro (name, grad year, positions, travel team). 1-2 mins each on hitting, fielding, and either pitching/catching/running. Good luck!

Personally I love the Flip. My HD Flip can be used by a 3 yr old and takes great HD movies. Editing software is pretty basic but I just use another editing program.

However, due to smartphone success, it was announced that Cisco was getting rid of Flip as it is now obsolete (April, 2011). Per their email to me, restrictions are:

•Friends and family can watch, download and save any video you have shared with them*

•Starting May 12, 2011, videos shared with an individual, group, Flip Channel or Twitter will only be available online for viewing and downloading for up to 30 days after being sent (the 30-day limit will also apply to videos shared previously)

•Videos shared on Facebook and YouTube as well as videos stored in FlipShare on your computer will not be impacted and do not have a 30-day limit

We will continue to provide technical support for both Flip video cameras and FlipShare until 12/31/2013.

Just giving you a heads up that they are going belly up and you might want to consider other types of these small handhelds out there like Kodak .

DD has the Sony equivalent of the flip, works great.
