Do college coaches care about rotational vs linear?

I'm looking for travel ball coaches that have talked to D1 college coaches/recruiters about hitting techniques.

Are DI coaches looking for hitters that use rotational or linear swings? Or maybe they don't care as long as the hitter is mashing the ball.

I'm not looking for a debate on which technique is better. Only trying to see if college coaches really care which technique is used.

Excluding slappers (except the ones that hit rotationally when they swing away), college coaches prefer rotational hitters....unless they are looking for weak ground balls to shortstop. Try hitting a low pitch off the outside corner with a linear swing....

My daughters experience was that it didn't matter because the college hitting coach wanted you to do whatever they thought was best which in her case was rotational.

There are also quite a few coaches that don't know a single thing about hitting. They were good hitters when they played....and want to teach what they did....10 years ago.

There are several college coaches that love rotational hitters............. pitching coaches.
