12u States How does the placement work? 1st 2nd 3rd etc..

SO, Game 77 = 1st and 2nd
Game #76 could be the same as 77 therefore no place there ? Right?

Now does that mean that game # 75 loser is 3rd and game # 74 loser and winner would 4th and 5th? OOORRR Game 73 (because they are in the winners bracket ) 4th and 5th?

Can anyone answer this quest????

The tournament won't be played out to game #77.
Game 73 is the final winner's bracket game.
Winner of game 73 is 1st place, loser is 2nd place.
Loser's bracket final game is game #74.
Winner of that game is 3rd place.

If they played it out, those three would still be top 3, just maybe a different order.
I think the champion doesn't have to pay the national tournament fee, otherwise there isn't any advantage except bragging rights, but there is also "the curse" to deal with...
