Not that H/S softball is winding down, its time to get the team insurance. Any recommendations - I have purchased from many providers over the years - but whats the latest on the costs and benefits?

I have always bought from USSSA. This mainly has to do with convenience. You also can easily and quickly obtain additional insured certificats (ie., a practice field you want to use). The minimal cost is relative. The medical accident coverage is $100,000. There is a $1 million general liability insurance (ie., you run a kid who complains of chest pains, and she dies). There are other plans on the market, but you want to make sure that whatever policy you buy provides you coverage for travel to and from games and practices when you are hauling players around. As always, this is not legal advice but just one man's opinion. You can't afford my hourly rate.

I know.

We went through USFA and picked up the accident and the liability policy. I went through UsssssssssA last year after having gone the USFA route the previous several.

Has anyone used the team insurance and does it really cover what it says its going to cover....I know its cheap ....our team has it but, just want to know how good these insurance companies respond in a time of need?????

Yes. Our carrier has paid medical without problem on a broken nose and a broken hand. We have been very, very happy with the USSSA carrier.
