I am a newbie, travel ball parent. I don't post because of what most people stated below. Some troll always has something negative to say from what I've seen when reading. I also have become very distant because softball is such a small community and what you say even how you act can and will be held against you, Sitting in the background observing and letting my kid do all the work in the field works well every time. I've learned that I will learn as I go and fall on my face a few times along the way but just need to make sure as with anything the same mistake is not made twice.

I kind of like the Devils Advocate aspect of message boards, especially when there is humor mixed in with it.
"Trolls" are more fun to read on boards than "Sunshine Pumpers"
Maybe I've just spent too much time on 4Chan and believe that boards shouldn't be so serious or that debate without personal attacks over getting butthurt are entertaining.
That's why I don't read that discuss fast pitch place, a whole board of self righteous blowhards virtue signalling, over policing and hyper-regulating all the fun out of all of the discussions, hard pass.

To clarify, nearly all outdoor sports are just kids playing in the dirt.

Saying that softball is just girls playing in the dirt is not saying that it is any less than the boys playing in the dirt in baseball or MX or football.
It was meant as "stop taking everything so seriously...."

But if faux outrage moves the board, have at it.
