Lady Lasers had the biggest pitcher we have seen. If wasn't for the geriatric umpires pushing 70, Dynasty would have had them. Man those blues were horrible

Im supporting Shark on this. I was watching that game and couldnt believe the calls that were made in the final innings! That bunt that the plate ump called foul was ABSOLUTELY the worse call I have EVER seen. We have better umps in SoCal friendlies than they had at Nationals. The only FAIR thing was that they ALL sucked!

Other than the umps (which, having played there several times, I can understand, if they were the same umps...although, we've had a few good ones there, we've had some that were not so good, also), and the rain, which obviously you can't help, what did you guys think of Winged Deer Park and the surrounding area?

We can travel 2-3 hours in several directions to play ball (with no or few opportunities closer), but the Johnson City/Bristol/Kingsport tri-cities area is my favorite of all the directions we can go.

Just got back into cali last night, man was that a crazy tournament, midnight games, girls getting sick, rain almost everyday. Victory a very well coach team and great set of girls, congrats to the national champions.

Winged Deer Park is a beautiful facility and the tournament director and whole staff was friendly and dedicated to achieving the best event possible. Although we questioned their decisions about when to play games, in the end, they got all the games in, and a deserving champion was determined.

I wouldn't mind visiting the area again...

Arent they always ..... when you lose

Not these umps, they were bad when we won also. They must save the better ones for the older girls and give the 10u teams the bottom of the barrel. I will say the field crews were really good, to be able to get those games in when it just kept raining. The TD did the best he good do with the weather and all.

I agree the umps were bad (worse than normal) and we too had bad call go our way (Lady Lasers)….

But here is the Kicker. I was talking to one of the umpires who was very good we had him in a total of thee games (he was from out of state). After a game I asked him to explain a call his partner had made…. In the discussion he let it slip that some of the umpires were local and his quote “I don’t understand how these guys got to come here”.

Now that’s a shame!

Just want to say spent some time, too with TPS folks- them folks are sure are an awesome, friendly and funny bunch.

Crunch guys and families are also great and way to hang in there with all the challenges.

As for lunch and dinner, could not get enough of Golden Corral (20- 25 bucks for entire family!)

i miss the open roads, that is no traffic! Road kill everywhere though, (possums, raccoons, and I even saw a deer on the road),

I wonder where Golden Corral gets all that food,
