Stay at the JW Marriott and pray for NO wind!

What are parents supposed to do with their weekends when travel is dark?

Too easy. Complain about what a moron your hs coach is, talk about how much better travel is with all the kids on your hs team not in travel, and participate in bad threads on heybucket.

What is more important heart or skill?

That's a tie IMO. You can get far with one or the other, but those with both can be great.

Heart or Skill
It is a sliding scale early on heart works well while honning your craft, around 13u skill starts becoming much more important and noticable, as heart starts to become less important skill rises to the top leaving heart behind, then once the athlete starts to master the sport 18gold, then the mental game starts to become more important.

Question: Why to alot of parents think or feel the need for a 9,10 or 11 year old to practice and play year round fastpitch. What is their reason.

I agree with your comments about heart.

Question: Why to alot of parents think or feel the need for a 9,10 or 11 year old to practice and play year round fastpitch. What is their reason.

Answer: So they can satisfy their ego and live vicariously through them.

Why do parents of those same age kids put up with verbally and mentally abusive coaches?

Why do parents of those same age kids put up with verbally and mentally abusive coaches?

1. Ego (MY KID PLAYS FOR ...!!! or MY KID'S TEAM PLACED 8TH AT NATIONALS!!!)
2. Guaranteed full ride in the future

156. Concern about how an adult treats their kid while she is trying to have fun and learn the game

What is the best [softball] stool softener? (See, my question was softball related)

Yeah, that happened when the other Nationals became about dumb teams buying umpires samwiches and beer in crappy off the grid towns under a system only guys who change their cloths behind their '87 Ford Taurus in plain sight instead of stepping to some place out of sight.

Besides beer what is the best way to show love for blue?
