Thanks PGF for doing the right thing.

Yep...I echo that.

People on here might recall I gave Dan Hay and Gary Haning the business pretty good last year over some things I was disappointed with regarding Surf City tourneys.

And even though my DD's team won't likely qualify for PGF it's my turn to man up and give them kudos.

And I know there are others, like JMO, that have a hand in this as well.

Keep up the good work, fellas!

PGF - Nice first volley to end the 2012 Insurance Wars. A company that listens and is responsive to it's customers is a company focused on success. Question: if non-PGF insurance is good enough for PGF Qualifiers, why isn't it accepted for championships? If it's because PGF gets a kickback on selling their preferred insurance, and thus it's a revenue issue, just charge teams the kickback amount as a premium to play. Making money is ok, wasting money sucks.

I asked this in the PGF forum and I will ask here too......

Is an injury suffered at a qualifier somehow insured differently than an injury that happens at Nationals?

You use your own medical coverage. In my 8 years of travelball and trips to nationals and qualifiers not once have I ever used ASA insurance. We've always paid our co-payment and that was that. I dont know (1) person that has ever, ever, ever, ever used ASA insurance but that's just my personal experience.

The term is "Coordination of Benefits" A bookkeeping activity between insurers. your carrier has the right to inquire if you have any other coverage. This applies to all type of insurance.

Sure there is potentially some secondary medical coverage involved but it is all to protect those involved in the hosting from losing their arses in court when someone gets hit by a ball or falls down and sues whoever has the deepest pockets.

Right, and we don't need three liability policies.

Based on your definition, which is actually pretty spot on, the main output of a liability policy then becomes an insurance certificate that the event host can hand to a third party, city, venue, etc. The very insurance certificate that MTR is now saying is not worth beans. Think about it.

Even though there is some limited value in this liability coverage, no one will ever never ever never ever collect a claim on the policy.
