Anderson Bat Q & A

My DD had the Nanotek and didn't feel it had as much power as her old RT (2008). To be sure, the balls flew off the Nanotek bat extremely fast and extremely hard, but she just felt she wasn't getting her power distance hits. We bought a new 2009 32/23 RT last week and at Sunday's practice (with only about 75 hits on the new RT), she hit 3 over the fence and the rest were pretty close to that.

So, I think what people have been saying is true: if you're a slapper or a singles/doubles hitter, the Nanotek will be great and fast. But if you're a power hitter, the RT seems to be the way to go.

Oh, my DD is 2nd year 14U and 5'3".

I agree completely. That is right on the money with what my DD was experiencing as well. Her bat speed was excellent with it, and it does have some pop. It just doesn't have the pop that her Techzilla has. I am by no means upset with the bat, and still think it's perfect for the right type of hitter, just not a younger power hitter (younger meaning 10u - 12u power hitter from what I'm seeing / hearing).

New to site just found this topic an hour ago you probibly have already answered this question but I didn't read all 54 pages so here it is. My DD is 18 in her Senior of H.S. going to a D1 next year and they are going to swing Anderson bats she has always swung a Catalyst untill last summer when she broke two in half they replaced with the Triton it also ended uo in two pieces then they sent an H2 she lost all confidence in thier bats. I bought her a CF4 black she loves it. She likes the balanced swing weight of these bats and I've tried a couple of times to get her to swing the Rockettech she doesn't like the end loaded feel. she swings a 34/24 just over half way thru the H.S. season she's hitting .492 with 5 Homers what do you recomend we look at for her to swing. Thanks

The RockeTech is an acquired taste. Some girls never warm up to the difference in swing weight compared to some of the lighter-than-air bats out there. The NanoTek FP is very balanced and hot right out of the wrapper. She will love it.

Which D1 school will she be attending?

After reading through this post over the last few days, I'm thinking hard about getting my DD a Nano. She's 10 and has been swinging a Miken Halo Light 31/19 since fall of last year and is swinging it pretty well, but the Anderson technology and bat weight really have got me thinking. If I were to pick a Nano size comparable to the swing weight of her current bat, I'm thinking we might need to go with a 30/20? I know you can't give a definite answer without knowing all her stats and seeing her swing, but just by comparing swing weights of bats am I on the right track? Thanks for any help or suggestions!

Chris My DD just turned 12. She has been swinging the Stealth Speed since it came out. We did purchase the Nano and we are VERY pleased. I was also concerned with the Anderson bats seeming to feel heavier than they are so we went with 30/20. This bat swings SO light. I am gonna sell it and get the 31/21. She and I did a test with the Speed and Nano and although they both got great pop. I will admit that the Nano added 15-20 feet than did the Speed. My DD has used 2 Techzillas and the 07 Rockettech and I will admit this IS the best bat Anderson has ever made in my opinion.

The NFP has a very low MOI and that is good but a bat can be too light (or swing too light too) but based on what I know about the Halo, up an inch would be appropriate.

Thanks for the info Impact. If you are going to sell the 30/20 Nano I may be interested in buying it from you, especially since it looks like we may be near each other.
