Is that total, including residual checks?

One of the moms on our 10U rec team did commercials before having kids. She was in the Coors Light "Tap the Rockies" campaign. Her husband was surprised at the sizable checks that came in each month for a long time afterward.

Pale rider check the video :D

Pdad thats called "mailbox money" & you are correct that was my total including residuals, but it should have been 4 times that had the lawsuit not happen, that was the age of MOW's (movie of the week which is now a thing of the past) about women in peril etc

The entire commercial world changed after the SAG strike of '99 when we settled for exactly what was offered prior to manning the picket lines. It's almost impossible to make a living at it now. Actors have always crossed those lines & only the Teamsters backed us. Sadly 60% of the business left LA shooting in right to work states like Texas & Florida & North Carolina. I'm grateful I made a living working 6 to 10 days a year because I was present in my childrens up bringing

My 2 best spots were the Lipton Ice tea - super bowl ad in '94 with David Carridine & a VW jetta spot that ran at 10:20 PM during 3 years of NYPD Blue :D

I found the Lipton commercial (and actually remembered it from back then). Were you one of the "stooges", the guy behind Carradine, or the buddha?

Hey pair of aces "It is not wise to sip" :D :D :D :D
I was the lead "good guy" who chugged the tea, 1st day of shooting at Charles Manson's former home ..Spann Ranch we're all waiting for David who's about 20 yards away in his own RV. there were 6 in my group & 40 to 50 crew, other cast members & ad executives on set,,,so Carridine walks right up to me ( after like close to an hour) & say's "how ya doing" the vodka breath almost made me gag at 9am, it was his 1st ever commercial & he felt like he was selling out we would later learn, so the stunt coordinator shows him a 180 spin move & 18 takes later & after almost falling down twice the director called it a day, released him & shot other scenes. Carridine was cordial, but removed the rest of the shoot (4 more days for me) & sober as well.

On the third day I I chugged 16 oz tea bottles for 3 straight takes in a row, the director asked if I could do a 4th take, I asked for water, walked past the camera about 10 yards drank 1/2 the bottle & then bent over & vomited the contents of my stomach. I freaked everybody out except the english director who later hired me for a Kodak spot :D

In the company of legends ! Thats awesome - there was another guy, you guys who have been around for a while wouldnt believe another guy who made a living for a while as a model - I havent heard from him in a while, I am going to go back and try to get his screen name - I will post it when I find it. I am not sure that he made it to the heybucket world - he was one of the eteamz group.

exd1 - my wife's family is from sweden - and of course they loved all of those "swedish ski team - swedish whatever ads'." My mother in law, rest her soul, was on the swedish version of Life mag beach girl cover back in the 30's (they still wore bathing suits back then) , and she was active in the biathelon (sp) olympic sport (cross country with a rifle for several miles , stop and shoot , then ski for a while, then shoot at some targets, etc.)

fastpitch dad correct, & over david c's shoulder in the opening shot , I hadn't seen that version in 20 years :D they have what are called "lifts" where they can use your likeness for 3 lifts off the original before they have to pay you another fee, this commercial had 4 versions 30 sec 45 & a full minute

commercials are not recognized by entertainment higher ups as legitimate work, but it only takes 2/3 of a second for recognition & residuals. wow that was a lifetime ago :)
