Naw...I didnt say either sex made a better Coach...I said I'd like to see more women do it...And I agree with the 'feel good' statement...Ive been married 30+ years...I have seen the 'PO'ed woman shield' many many times...(I've grown an immunity to it btw:-) everybody doesn't make a great coach regardless of their own ability...
Players have to believe in you, and you cannot fake 'I care'...
Being able to do things, work them hard and have a tone of voice that encourages vs discourages is a gift...
I had an LT one time at Ft Hood...I was a lowly Buck SGT...He could deliver an arse chewing, never raised his voice...and the chewee felt bad because they'd screwed up vs being pissed at him for chewing them out...he was truly gifted at that...amazed me...and he is current a Brigadier General...me?...I usually favored the Gunny Hartman, more frontal approach...that doesn't go well with softball
