Best one-liners in Softball

8u rec allstar....One coach is complaining about 3rd baseman standing in front of base multiple times. I am the TD...I go to the other coach who says "They're 8. They don't make mistakes on purpose."

He's now my 11dd and 8dd hitting coach.

Third base coach waves the R1 from second to try and score on a base hit to center field. F8 throws R1 out at the plate by about ten feet. As I'm banging the out I hear one mom say to another mom: "Now I know why the coach's wife doesn't let him make any decisions at home!"

Hard hit grounder to infielder... player turns head and still makes the stop... coach yells "That was a great play... you should have seen it!!!"

You are playing OF and there is a high fly ball dropping about 60 feet in front of you, you go tearing in there and the ball drops in front of your outstretched glove. You teammate says "One more step."

Then, it gets even funnier if the next one is hit over your head and you have to run back about 60 feet.

Not softball related, but i am driving with my kid. we see a bumper sticker that says "F&$k Something", or something like that...
My kid reads it out loud.
I say "hey, don't say the F-word!"
She looks at me and says " That's the F-Word?"

DD is pitching in a 10U All Star game. Big girl up to bat decides to crowd the plate. Next pitch the big girl swings for the fence, misses the ball and gets hit with the pitch. Plate ump awards her first base. I call time and ask why is the batter on first. Ump says she got hit. I inform him that she swung at the ball and that it should be a strike. Ump says "she was trying to defend herself".
