I may not have enough information on the how things are done at the gold level...but I have to throw out this question...Assuming the PGF tournament is the same time as OKC...correct me if I am wrong but aren't Gold players under ASA contract to their team (red lined) through Gold Nationals. If a team decides not to go to OKC does that in effect release the player from their ASA contract and their obligation to that team and open the possibility of the player jumping to another team that may play in the PGF?

You see very little of players team jumping from the teams that make it to asa gold nationals year end and year out the same teams make it to nationals with only a couple of new teams making it.You won't see players from 'lets say the firecrackers jumping to rocksteady ? ..

That red line ONLY APPLIES to ASA Sanctioned events. I dont believe the PGF will be an ASA sanctioned event..............(sarcasm for those of you that dont get it)

From ASA Code:
A player may participate as a regular rostered player on only one team
within a division in championship play during a season.

A team's roster becomes official when a commissioner or
designee signs it for championship play.

Player(s) names cannot be removed or
replaced once the player on the roster has participated in
championship play.

Championship play includes:
Local Association Championships
National Qualifiers
Regional Championships
Territory Qualifying Tournaments
National Championships Finals

A player who has competed in any Junior Olympic Girls’
Fast Pitch National Championship is not an eligible pick-up player for the
Girls’ 18-Under Gold National Championship.
