If satire reminds us of people who resemble the satire, then its good satire. I've been advised that some poor slobs don't get satire, like some autistics. They also are incapable of tying their own shoes and can't get a joke.

So beware of the dude or dudette who always wears flip flops or velcro shoes and is way up-tight. They will also get you banned from your neighborhood yahoo group. For using satire. As I found out. The hard way.

How long till baseball season starts :?:

LF and norcal, "Blazing Saddles" is satire, "Hot Shots" is satire, Saturday Night Live attempts and once in a great while something sticks as satire, that OP article is apparently just bullshit. And Satire isnt french for bullshit - bullshit is bullshit.

Donnie Donnoie Donnie why are you so upset. Is it becuz you and Battle didn't realize it was a joke that the onion has been doing satire for years and you were fooled. Its ok it happens to everyone thats what they do, you don't have to get so upset. I thought it was hilarious. I don't think any less of you for the fact you think Hot Shots was satire.

Sorry donnie, but I will have to agree with Norcal that this is Satire- more like Jonathan Swift's "A Modest Proposal" (suggested eating children was the answer to the Irish Famine or even "Gulliver's Travels" which was a satyrical look at the whig party

I will have to say that subject of this post made the point i think it intended

Dang, Joriv great pull on the Modest Proposal and Gulliver examples. If I had read them I would agree with you.
But the Modest proposal and Gulliver Travel's I saw had Demi Moore and Jack Black in them so I think I missed the fammine and Whig satyrical slant.

Look Snorcal, my response had nothing to do with the article being satire and everything to do with your stance on 10u/12u TB parents.

But you are right...The article was satire and your belief that 10u is too early for TB or causes trauma is also satire. Now be gone daftie, you bore me. Yawn

Brain-Dead Teen, Only Capable Of Rolling Eyes And Texting, To Be Euthanized

The parents of 13-year old Caitlin Teagart have decided to end her life, saying she can now do nothing but lay on the couch and whine about things being "gay."

Swift was right, of course.

And I'm almost certain that satyrs stopped being political long before the Whigs came to power. ;)

Clearly this is no joking matter. Somebody should do something before its to late.
I have half the mind to get in my mommy van and save this poor child. But my my precious 10u DD has practice every day this week and 8 games on the weekend so I clearly won't have time until one week in September or our one week Christmas break. I hope she is still alive then.

Only one practice a day? What a light weight.

If it wasn't for softball, I'd have a daughter to part out as well. It's the humane thing to do 8-)

Donnie: Has DD's senior high school season begun yet in South Texas? If not, should be close, no?
