Sluggers lose 3-2 to SoCal Mavericks in ITB. Maverics were down 1 and attempted a squeeze. First baseman flipped to catcher and runner was dead to rights but catcher dropped ball on her way out of tag for the safe. BR attempted to take 2B and centerfielder was too close on the backup and ball went to fence to score game winning run....
Very frustrating loss as the game appeared to go from in our grasp to out of our grasp in a matter of seconds. Think we ended up tied for 33rd.

A big congrats to the Mavericks as well. A great group of young ladies and their fans and coaches are first class all the way. They were a pleasure to scrimmage and play against.

Eliminators were all over slammers 8-2 in 6th...
both advance to final four of winners bracket assuming eliminators hold on
firecrackers vs atlanta vipers-dean and
victory usa campbell (they def crusaders this morning 5-0) vs mizuno pride
both play at 130 eastern time in winners bracket to see who remains in winners with CA and Eliminators...

Yes the Mavericks were originally with Tom Dodd. Mavericks now play Hurricanes 4th game of the day keep going girls!

At socal states Mavericks had all the potential & talent just needed some time together. A VERY NICE GROUP OF KIDS! They were having alot of fun that weekend and the parents were VERY seaosned travel ball families who had a big picture attitude even though I was talking with them as they got eliminated that day..... Looks like everything is paying off. I knew once they got thier berth up north they would make some noise at Nats but to knock off LF..wow. NICELY DONE GIRLS, Coaches and familes!

CA Breeze 4-2 over GA Crusaders in losers bracket. Firecrackers leading Vipers Dean 1-0 top 4 on solo HR.

The SS from the Firecrackers was the one that went yard. It is 4-3 now Firecrackers leading Vipers Dean. Victory is up 7-0 over the Mizuno Pride. Getting late in both games.
