I just recently started giving another kid on my team more time at those positions and moving her up in the order and found myself asking why I didn't to so sooner. It's probably because she always plays and bats wherever I put her with a great attitude and her parents are equally positive and supportive. Her mother or father would never start and feed a thread like this.

Just wondering -- if the parents had called you and asked you why their DD wasn't getting much playing time, would your "discovery" had happened sooner?

FPINFO you need to shut up!! If your kid was that good, she would play, we do not coach, and my kid only sat last year when she was hurt! (of course with 2 surgeries she's been out all of this year but, they still kept her on the roster). If you are on a team that your kid plays the same position as the coaches kid, thats your fault for not doing your homework before going to that team. Anyone (with any common sense) would not put their kid on a team where they are competing for the same position with the coaches daughter, with the exception of pitching, every team needs and uses more than one pitcher (usually 3-4). And if the coaches daughter did not play that position when you started and they have put her there after watching your daughter play (hmmm) then that should answer any questions you have. YOU OBVIOUSLY NEED A TRAVEL BALL EDUCATION! PLEASE OPEN YOUR EYES, OR TAKE OFF THE MOMMY/DADDY GLASSES! Now you've got me yelling. WOW

Easy one. Talk to the coach first then find another team.

It depends on if you want to remain on the team I guess. Perhaps the coaches kid is hitting the ball and yours isn't; perhaps he/she is trying to work his DD into another position to see where else she can play and he already knows yours can get the job done but he's trying things out. How long has this been going on? A couple games or a long time? Personally, I would ASK the coach to work my DD into her secondary postion and bump other players out down the line when his DD is in your daughter's spot, based on talent of course -- we all know there are a couple kids on almost every team that either shouldn't be out there or are just wanting something better than rec ball, so they should sit. It all depends on who is hitting or getting on base scoring runs IMHO..
