Game Face Masks

My DD never wanted to wear a mask because she said noone else was wearing them.She was pitching when She took a line drive to the mouth and knocked out her four front teeth and fractured her jaw. We were in the hospital and they found a ruptured disk in her neck. I will never forgive my self for not forcing her to wear a mask. Even after a girl on her team got hit in the ear on third base. Her whole ear almost came off. My DD is still recovering to this day. It happened last season...parents if you luv your kids, protect them. 35 dollars isnt nothing. ESP pitchers

I never really considered it nessecary until my daughter was struck above the eye while pitching. I immediately purchased a mask. After starting travel ball and witnessing all the power, I now believe all corners and pitchers should wear one. The true sign of weakness is caring what others think. My dd's safety is my priority, I don't give a damn what others think!

I agree 100%. But, some will tell you that college coaches have told them that it is a sign of weakness so their thinking is to never have their DD wear one. If mine is blessed enough to make it to college, I hope she wears it the first through the last time she steps on the field. It will be her choice at that stage but for now it is my choice. She is wearing it. Period.

^^^I've heard similiar comments from college coaches on players, with the exception being Pitcher/3B. I've witnessed several incidents over the years and would never allow my DD to play 3B or P without wearing one!

Okay this is from two parents that have watched their daughter endure 3 hours of two orthodontists trying to put teeth back in place followed by 2 hours of oral surgery in less than 12 hours. Being hit in the face when a ball takes a bad hop is not uncommon. Not sure what further treatment and costs we will face in the future from this injury but one thing is certain that if she had been wearing a face mask we would not be dealing with this. Girls should wear the mask.

Not to worry! Just bought mine a new one. Her old one was looking bad from overuse and if you know the typical high maintenance DD, she just can't have that....lol

Ok so which is the best face mask for visibility? My DD is not a pitcher and does not want it to interfer with her vision too much. Thanks for any feedback.

The Rip It mask is the best by far. We started with the Game face but moved on to the Rip It. All 3 of my daughters love the it.
