The answer "it depends" is likely not what you are looking for but that's the answer. That said her are some general rules of thumb I use..
Slapper: lighter/shorter - for quicker wrist type hits, generally balanced. -10 or -11
Short: shorter obviously, --9,-10,11 is personal preference but what I have seen is these girls generally are at -10 balanced.
Larger/thick girls, generally stronger so can handle bigger bats and -9, balance or end loaded.
Power: F=m*A, Force =mass * acceleration. This is the perfect scenario for end loaded..... More force is applied as mass increases.....both in the bat and in the person. Assuming acceleration is not impacted with the heavier bat (which end loaded is designed to accommodate I believe), and end loaded bat in theory delivers greater force for the power hitter. End loaded are generally -8 or -9.
