Surf City Summer Classic, which colleges will be attending?

Does anyone have the Thursday game schedule for the Surf City Summer Classic? I'm not able to access it on the website and dd needs to get an email out to 3 schools that are attending, but aren't on the list because they will be bouncing between both tournaments. Also have them contact all coaches attending the Champions Cup. Many of the coaches last year attended both tourneys. There are many more teams attending the Surf City Summer Classic so colleges will come since they are in the area.

Yeah, some might go over for a while, but the talent pool at Champions Cup runs deeper, the fields are nicer, the food's better...

Fields Nicer??? HB has pretty nice fields...so does Irvine but edge to 8 fields at HB

Irvine being as anal as they are they take way better care of their fields than HB. I'm just sayin'....

Of course coaches could care less about the fields. My guess from past experiences is that the coaches will spend the first couple of days at CC and then switch over to HB on Friday/ Saturday...especially when CC gets into elimination. Coaches don't want to have to keep track of bracket play.

Am I mistaken or doesn't the Surf City Showcase go into some sort of bracket play on Sunday?

Surf City has changed its format for Sunday, looks like pool play doesn't count, kind of bizarre.

champions Cup had same issue with rain outs and simply counted those games as ties, which seems to be working out well for everyone with bracket play starting this this morning on schedule and everyone in the hunt.

Hard to say it was the same because Champion's Cup had more games completed due to starting 2 days earlier and they only use pp to seed teams in a single bracket. I'm not so sure Surf City could have done a meaningful separation of teams into the different brackets. I also think SC's different brackets are geared more towards getting teams of similar ability playing each other than crowning a champion.

Which they said they have completely thrown out the window, even though some assessment could be made as to a teams relative strength from even limited results. Were there any teams that missed more than a game or two? It just struck me as a weird way to do it.

Can anyone find the rules for games on Sunday. I am sure elimination games are a ASA rules not free substitutions, however everyone I talk to seems confused.

One team I was watching had all their gold players on the bench and were showcasing their entire 16U team. That was not reflective of their 18g team at all.
