As long as we're throwing out the names of obscure softball orgs, anyone ever hear of MSA?

That would be Miss Softball America. My father in-law was the southeastern regional president of that once proud org and learned everything he knows or will ever need to know about the game from that experience. Although MSA is long gone the league he started is still around and has produced some very good travel teams.

Jonriv is correct. Global Sports Authority. Actually a very good organization. They originated in Georgia and are working on expanding. I call a lot of their tournaments. While they do not attract a lot of "A" level teams, they run very competitive tournaments for teams who are not ASA or PGF Nationals oriented. Rec all-stars to very good "B" level travel teams with an occasional "A" bracket. Brackets are usually smaller and evenly matched so any team in the bracket realistically has a chance to win their bracket. Not the level of competition ya'll in SoCal are used to, but it gives the girls who are trying to get better a place to play besides rec ball.
